FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are all classes conducted online?

Yes, all our tuition classes are fully online, making high-quality education accessible to students worldwide. Our online tuition classes are designed to provide the same level of guidance, engagement, and academic support as in-person lessons. With our structured and interactive teaching methods, students preparing for Edexcel and Cambridge IGCSE, IAL, and other exams can study effectively from the comfort of their homes.

2. What platforms do you use for online classes?

We primarily use Google Meet to conduct our classes as it provides a stable and interactive learning environment. However, some of our tutors may also use Zoom or Microsoft Teams based on their preference and the student’s convenience. All platforms we use are reliable, user-friendly, and equipped with features that enhance the learning experience, such as screen sharing, whiteboards, and recording options.

3. How can the tutor check my work?

We add students to a WhatsApp group with the tutor at the start of their course. You can submit your completed work by taking a photo and sending it on WhatsApp, where the tutor will mark and provide feedback. In some cases, we may also use Google Docs or Google Sheets, allowing the tutor to monitor your work in real-time and mark it instantly.

4. Do you provide textbooks and past papers?

Yes, we provide PDF versions of textbooks and past papers free of charge. However, some textbooks may not be available in our collection, in which case you will need to obtain a copy yourself. Please note that our tuition fees do not include physical copies of books.

5. What curriculum do you follow for primary and lower secondary grades?

For primary and lower secondary grade students, we follow the Cambridge and Edexcel curriculum, ensuring that they receive a strong foundation in core subjects. However, if a student’s school follows a different curriculum or uses a specific textbook, we can still provide classes tailored to their needs. In such cases, parents or students will need to provide a scanned copy of the textbook so that the tutor can align the lessons accordingly.

6. What is the duration of a class?

The duration of a class depends on the level of study. For Edexcel IGCSE, Edexcel IAL, Cambridge IGCSE, and Cambridge IAL courses, each session typically lasts for two hours. For lower grades, classes are usually conducted for 1.5 hours per session. This structure ensures that students receive adequate time for explanations, discussions, and practice.

7. Can I arrange an extended class for 3 or 4 hours?

Yes, extended individual classes can be arranged if the tutor is available. Some students prefer longer sessions, especially closer to exam time, for revision and intensive practice. If you wish to schedule a 3- or 4-hour session, we will coordinate with the tutor, and the fee will be adjusted accordingly based on the extended duration.

8. Do you offer group and individual classes?

We provide both small group classes and individual one-on-one sessions to cater to different learning needs. Our small group classes have a maximum of five students per session, ensuring personalized attention while allowing peer interaction. Individual classes offer complete flexibility in scheduling and lesson planning, allowing students to focus on their specific learning goals.

9. How many classes per week can I take?

The number of classes per week is determined based on the student’s learning pace, availability, and financial considerations. Some students prefer more frequent sessions to cover the syllabus quickly, while others opt for a slower pace with fewer weekly classes. You can schedule as many sessions as needed, provided that the tutor has availability.

10. How much do classes cost?

The tuition fees vary based on the subject, level of study, and whether the student joins a small group class or an individual session. Small group classes are slightly more affordable than individual lessons. For exact fee details, please contact Elevate Learning Centre, and we will provide you with a breakdown of the costs based on your specific requirements.

11. How do I make the payment?

All payments must be made via bank transfer to Elevate Learning Centre’s official representative’s account. Payment should be completed at least 24 hours before the scheduled class to confirm the session. It is important to note that students should not transfer payments directly to the tutor’s account, as we are not responsible for any transactions made outside our official payment process.

12. Can I pay for a full month at once?

Yes, if it is more convenient for you, you can make an advance payment for a week or an entire month of classes. We will keep track of your sessions and ensure that your classes are conducted as scheduled. This option is ideal for students who prefer hassle-free payment management.

13. What if I have difficulty making a payment on time?

If you are unable to make the payment on time, we can reschedule the class for a later date. However, we appreciate early communication so that we can adjust schedules accordingly.

14. What happens if I cannot attend a class after making the payment?

If you are unable to attend a class after making the payment, we can arrange a rescheduled cover-up session. Since the tutor reserves a specific time slot for each student, we encourage students to inform us in advance if they cannot attend, so we can manage schedules effectively.

15. What if I am late to join a class?

If you are late to join a class, we will still ensure that the full scheduled duration is covered, provided that the tutor is available. However, we encourage students to join on time to maximize their learning and avoid missing key explanations or discussions.

16. Can I get a refund if I decide to cancel a class after paying?

Yes, if a student decides not to proceed after making a payment, we offer a full refund, minus any applicable bank charges.

17. Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we provide discounts for students enrolling in multiple subjects. If you are considering enrolling in two or more subjects, please contact us to confirm your eligibility for a discount.

18. Can I join just for past paper practice?

Yes, we offer exam preparation classes specifically focused on past paper practice for Edexcel and Cambridge IGCSE and IAL exams. You can join a dedicated exam prep class or schedule individual sessions tailored to your revision needs.

19. Do you offer fast-track courses?

Yes, we provide fast-track courses designed for students who want to complete the syllabus within six months or one year. These courses are ideal for students looking for accelerated learning and intensive exam preparation.

20. Are the tutors qualified?

We carefully select our tutors through a comprehensive screening process that verifies their educational qualifications, teaching experience, and ability to conduct engaging and effective lessons. Our tutors are subject experts who are passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed.
